Understanding Motor Skills Difficulties

Course description

The training session provides an opportunity to learn about fine and gross motor skills, and strategies to help support children in school that have difficulties with these. The session will also cover what dyspraxia/developmental coordination disorder is and how best to support children with this in the educational setting.  


Learning outcomes:


-To understand what fine and gross motor difficulties are, and how they impact a child’s day to day activities and educational engagement in school


-To understand what dyspraxia is and how this impacts a child’s day to day activities and educational engagement in school


-To learn strategies to put in place in school to support children who have motor skill difficulties and/or Dyspraxia
