The training session provides an opportunity to learn about fine and gross motor skills, and strategies to help support children in school that have difficulties with these. The session will also cover what dyspraxia/developmental coordination disorder is and how best to support children with this in the educational setting. The session will aim to cover -
-To understand what fine and gross motor difficulties are, and how they impact a child’s day to day activities and educational engagement in school
-To understand what dyspraxia is and how this impacts a child’s day to day activities and educational engagement in school
-To learn strategies to put in place in school to support children who have motor skill difficulties and/or Dyspraxia
Anyone who works directly with children, young people and their families. These courses are particularly suitable for teaching and support staff, school health advisors/nurses, family support workers, youth service providers, social workers, residential support workers, etc.
This course is FREE of charge to Manchester schools who have completed the current Health Check. For schools outside of Manchester please contact email@example.com for fees.
