MEET YOUR TRAINER

Zain Iqbal

Zain has over ten years of experience in education, working in a wide variety of settings and roles. He began his career as a Primary school teacher in Nottingham and quickly progressed to KS2 Phase leader. In this role he gained the expertise and skills required to support pupils and professionals in multiple health areas, understanding how a whole school approach to health education was vital to the school's progression. Following this, Zain moved to Manchester and carried on teaching across schools in the city before becoming a member of the Healthy Schools’ team. He has passionately contributed to the Social, Emotional and Mental Health provision and offer available to schools and staff. He has developed training, materials and resources that have now been used in a vast majority of schools in Manchester, as well as other professionals across the city. Zain is an avid collector of records, attends many gigs and musical events and enjoys exploring the numerous bars and restaurants of Manchester.
