This session focuses on effective teaching and learning strategies in PSHE Education. Designed for teachers delivering PSHE content, the training focuses on three main areas:
- Developing your expertise: how to move from PowerPoint to best practice
- Beyond knowledge: how to develop young people’s skills and values
- Assessment: how to incorporate formative assessment into teaching
Training will be held online or in person. Training is active and requires participation. If online, please attend with the correct equipment to contribute (e.g. a quiet space, a camera, and a mic).
Sessions are for primary, secondary, and special education staff. The training will focus on PSHE pedagogy and will most benefit staff who directly deliver lessons. For those new to PSHE, or those with experience keen to recap the basics and share their expertise.
