Relationships, Sex Education Policy and Statutory Guidance - 10 March 2020

Course description

This full day training course explores the current Relationships and Sex Education statutory guidance.

Both primary and secondary schools have a legal obligation to have an up-to-date RSE policy that describes the content of the Relationship and Sex Education curriculum outside of the National Curriculum for science. This session will explore Statutory guidance on delivery of RSE and policy development.

Key themes covered will include:-

Consider national guidance on RSE

Review the steps required to ensure good quality delivery of the RSE curriculum in line with the statutory guidance.

Consultation on policy with parents, staff and governors is a key element

Schools to bring their current RSE policy to review and share good practice

Participants

This course is open to all staff who work within a school setting.

Cost

This course is free of charge to all Manchester schools that have completed the 2019/20 Health Check.
