This one hour training session covers the importance of a whole-school approach to healthy eating, Cooking and Nutrition in the national curriculum, an update on the UK healthy eating model – The Eatwell Guide, the new recommendations on sugars and a chance to look at resources which can be used to deliver healthy eating in school. It can also be a useful opportunity to consult with staff before developing or updating a healthy eating policy.
This course is open to all staff who work within a school setting.
This is course is free of charge to schools that have prioritised Healthy Lifestyles through the 2019/20 the Health Check.
