E-safety and Safeguarding online

Course description

This training will help attendees to understand the benefits of the online world and the potential risks associated with keeping children and young people safe online. The training will incorporate the following:

How children use the internet and technology including social media and app trends.

The potential risks children face online.

Negative and risk taking online behaviours (sexting, pornography, sharing inappropriate images)

Cyberbullying

Detailed support for individuals and organisations

Sharing of good practice, resources and interventions.

Recording, reporting and responding to E-safety concerns.

E-safety policies and Student/Parent friendly E-safety policies. 


Participants

This course is open to all staff who work within a school setting.


Cost

This course is provided free of charge to Manchester schools
