Course description

This 1 hour course considers the national guidelines around food served in schools and how a culture of healthy eating can be created.

Topics covered will include:-

·        Healthy food policies including playtime snacks and lunchtime choices

·        The School Food Standards and their relevance today

·        Current updates regarding the Childhood Obesity Plan

·        Examples of good practice


This course is open to all staff who work in a primary, secondary or special school


This course is provided free of charge to schools who have completed the 2020/21 Health Check
